This is a mixed media/collage painting that I completed a few days ago. The transparent image of the house you see is from a photo my husband took several months before the house burned to the ground on or very close to halloween. The house was decrepit and abandoned and looked so out of place in its setting that we just had to stop and photograph it from every angle. Now when I go past the place where it use to stand, it looks as if the house never existed. There's just a huge sad, empty spot there.

I love the collage, I collage makes one feel alone like the house, I dont know its hard to expalin, but I love it. Also you now have a living memory of house that used to be..
