A polymer clay pendant that I finished today and listed in my Etsy shop tonight. Very pretty heart shape in shades of blue and cream. The clay was textured, stamped, hand painted and varnished. The bead is hand made as well. Hangs from a hemp cord. I'm really happy with how this turned out. I can get as creative as I want with polymer clay.

Polymer Clay!
Having fun with polymer clay this weekend. It is so versatile. This is the same stuff that I use to sculpt the faces of my art dolls with.

I hammered copper pennies in such a way to give them wavy edges. I oxidized and sanded the disks to create depth and texture for interest. I added berry red pearls at the center for color. I love these. Available in my Etsy shop.

Cool Hoops!
The wind is blowing a gale and rain is coming down in sheets as I write. Not a good night to be out on the roads. A good time to update my Etsy shop with these very pretty copper hoops.

Happy Friday!
Yay, it's Friday! I love Fridays! It has been a week filled with lots of activity. A customer wants an oil painting done of a basket of colorful fruit to brighten up his dining room during the long, dark days of winter. It was fun picking out the fruit with the most vibrant color and setting up the still life to photograph. I got to eat it the fruit when this was done. I have the canvas toned and the drawing and underpainting complete. Tomorrow I will start the painting. I'm excited! I love painting! Below is the image that I will be painting from. I also have been making and listing a lot of jewelry. I have to make a pile more to put into a gallery in November. I have some ideas for new designs that I'm looking forward to creating. All is well! Life is good!

Oil Painting!
This is a small painting on wood panel of a boat that I saw on the beach on one of my road trips. I'm now working on a watercolor painting of an old house. I painted this particular house before, shown in a previous post. It will be done from another perspective.

Summer Road Trips!
Sitting on the edge of a 500 foot drop. A stunningly beautiful place that we discovered by accident. |
An old abandoned house that I visit every year. |
Bonavista |
A double birds nest that my cousin found for me. |
My boots holding treasure that I found on the beach. |
Pendants made from stones I found while walking the beach in Northern Bay Sands. |

Hi!
Hello everyone! I hope all is well! Painting and journal making I have been doing this week. Last week I was visiting with family and friends and enjoying all the lovely sunshine. Not so much sunshine this week. Tonight it's rain and thunderstorms, which I love. This Sunday I attend a reception for a visual art show that will be running until the end of August. I have three paintings in the show. Pretty cool!
