Hello!

Three Trees
The piece above was created using acrylic paint, ink, image transfers, text, old newspaper and several texturing techniques on gessoed masonite board. The board suits my needs perfectly because I tend to scratch into the surface and use a rough sandpaper on it. The trees were transferred from an image of a photo I took at Bowring Park.

I used brass wire to wrap these beautiful stones. I antiqued the wire to age it and add depth. I really love the look of this wire and I'll definitely continue working with it.

Gina,
I like the overall sparseness of the composition because it highlights the leafless trees and shows their bones well. Are you having fun with all your layering? I'm busy as a beaver trying to finish 20 pieces by May.

Love the painting! And I just had a look at your Etsy shop - so many beautiful things. How is a person to choose?
