"An artist is typically a being that is
filled with so much passion, love, or pain for certain
lands, people, ideas, or images, that all they
can do with that overflow
is bleed it out by creating.
And with this type of art, the energy will
be shifted from the depths of them
and into the depths of the
audience to be felt.
It is a dance.
A transference.
An intimacy.
It is to touch and awaken another
human in a place they hadn't known
was aching, or sleeping.
Both are opened.
Both are nourished.
Both are transformed."
-Victoria Erickson
This is such a touching quote. To have exactly how I feel written down so beautifully makes me want to cry.

I Love Crows!
Life sure has been interesting lately with lots of opportunities and cool experiences. Luckily, I have my studio to go to to keep me grounded. This is a small piece I made by sandwiching a copy of a photo I took between two pieces of glass. I embellished the image first with script stamping and some text to create some art. I wrapped copper foil tape around the edges and soldered over that to make the frame. It was very challenging, to say the least, and I burned myself several times in the process. It was well worth it though and the piece sold in record time. I do have to practice my soldering technique some more and shorten the length of time it takes me.

Gorgeous Green!
Green has always been one of my favorite colors. I love the green gorgeousness of these round shell stones against the dark, rustic beauty of the copper disks. Yummy! Green reminds me of Spring and all that it brings. To purchase, you can follow the link to my Etsy store.

New Design!
Having fun with my torch this week. With a little work, I created these lovely textured earrings with hammered copper disks, pale blue/green rondelles and copper wire. I'm very happy with the design and I'm excited about making more using different stones. I've listed the earrings in my Etsy shop.
I hope everyone is well. It's been very cold around here and a lot of my family and friends are sick with the flu. Luckily, I've remained healthy thus far.
