I hope everyone is happy and well! I'm trying to balance being outside enjoying the beautiful weather and staying inside and making jewelry, journals and drawing and painting. This is a detail of a painting I did of Signal Hill. I wanted to capture the atmosphere the heavy storm clouds were creating on a late summer afternoon and the light that was shining on the water. I used my creative license and added the tree for interest. Oil on stretched canvas.
